The challenge
With this project, Audi faced a dual challenge of ensuring longevity and adaptability for its renowned, most-advanced infotainment system. Seamless integration of an Android companion device and the infusion of selected 3rd party apps added layers of complexity to the project.
The constraints
Alignment with multiple parties to integrate seamlessly into the existing system demanded intricate coordination. Collaborative UI concept creation, acting as a software integrator, mapping interfaces, adapting the infotainment system, and addressing product life cycle management complexities were hurdles that Elektrobit adeptly overcame.
The solution
Undeterred by its complexity, we undertook the task of fully integrating Android Automotive OS into Audi’s infotainment system. Their approach was holistic, encompassing a superior user experience concept, seamless UI integration, and acting as a proficient software partner for multiple provisions.
